Patton Bell Conservation specializes in museum-quality treatment of Old Master to contemporary paintings.
Katie Patton Bell is a professionally trained paintings conservator. She holds an MA in Art History from the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University and an Advanced Certificate in Conservation from the Conservation Center of the Institute of Fine Arts, NYU. She received her BA in Art from Vassar College.
She has held fellowships in conservation departments at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Seattle Art Museum, and trained in conservation departments at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, the Brooklyn Museum, the National Academy Museum, and the Gallerie degli Uffizi.
Katie has treated works by 14th- to 21st-century artists, including Vittore Carpaccio, Sofonisba Anguissola, Paolo Veronese, Nicolaes Maes, Francesco Guardi, Kenyon Cox, Giovanni Boldini, Robert Henri, Amédée Ozenfant, Norman Rockwell, Milton Avery, Josef Albers, Louise Nevelson, Thornton Dial, and Sam Gilliam.
Katie founded Patton Bell Conservation in New York in 2013 and moved it to Cincinnati in 2017. Clients have included the Newark Museum of Art, the American Museum of Natural History, the National Academy Museum, the Dayton Art Institute, and many distinguished private collectors.
